Stencilcrete was everywhere in Sydney through the nineties and two-thousands. The brick-and-mortar look has dated, the colour has usually faded unevenly, and the raised pattern edges collect dirt. If you look at your driveway and the pattern itself is the problem, this is the job you want.
On this page, the pattern goes. We remove the existing stencil or stamped pattern first, then resurface, so you are left with a completely level, uniform finish and no trace of the old stencil lines underneath.

What Happens When We Remove Your Stencil Pattern
No jackhammering, no digging up
- Removing the pattern does not mean removing the driveway.
- The slab stays where it is.
- We take the pattern off, prepare the surface, and spray the new finish over the top. Grinding isn’t part of our standard process. We only grind where a surface needs it, usually to take off old paint or a coating first.
What you end up with…
- A level, even, modern surface in the colour you choose. It can be plain, or with a speckle fleck through it.
- The finish is textured and non-slip, rated P5, UV stable, and lasts around twenty years.
- Both stencil options perform identically for durability and lifespan; the only difference is whether the pattern is still there underneath.

Our Stencil Removal Process
We pressure wash first, then mask up walls, garage doors, garden beds and any pool fencing. Once we remove the old stencil pattern and fill in the visible cracks, we spray the new finish on in your chosen colour and seal it. Grinding isn’t part of our standard process, we only use it where a surface needs old paint or a coating taken off beforehand. The finish sits only a few millimetres proud, so there’s no height difference at your doors, gates or garage once it’s done. Most jobs run two to three days from start to finish depending on size and weather, and we’ll confirm a firm timeframe once we’ve assessed the driveway.

Does removing the stencil pattern mean jackhammering or replacing the slab?
No, the slab stays exactly where it is. Only the pattern is removed from the surface before the new finish is sprayed on.
Can I add a fleck or speckle finish once the stencil pattern is removed?
Yes. Once the pattern is gone, you can choose a plain colour or a speckled fleck finish.
Is pattern removal as durable as resurfacing a plain driveway?
