Plenty of people like their stencil pattern and simply want it to stop looking tired. The layout suits the house, the pattern matches a path or a courtyard, or it is just what they are used to. If the pattern is fine and the colour is the problem, coating over the top is faster, cheaper and does the job.

The detail
Be clear on what you will see
- This is worth saying plainly: the pattern does not disappear.
- The profile of the existing stencil lines will still read faintly through the new finish.
- For most people that is the whole point.
- If you were hoping for a perfectly flat surface, choose removal instead.
Performance is identical
- Both options use the same cement-based compound and perform the same for durability and lifespan — textured and non-slip at P5, UV stable, around twenty years.
- On either job, we do not grind.
Colour choices
- Anything on our chart.
- A Light Terracotta or Sandstone keeps a traditional brick-pattern driveway looking traditional; a Gunmetal or Charcoal makes the same pattern read as far more contemporary.
Start to finish
Our Process
Pressure wash. Mask up the walls, garage doors, garden beds and any pool fencing. Fill the visible cracks. Spray, in the colour you have chosen. Then seal. We do not grind. Most driveways take two to three days from start to finish, depending on size and weather, and we will give you a firm timeframe once we have seen the job.

All you need to do before we arrive is clear cars, pot plants and furniture off the area. We handle the masking, cleaning and surface prep from there.
